The worst time of the year for textile allergy sufferers.

Each Fall, I have problems with my wardrobe. I’m allergic to textile dyes and fabric finishes on my clothes. (see blog link below) In the summer I can wear a short sleeved white top with a well washed white or light bottom (pants/skirts) and look half way normal. When it’s really cold in winter, I can wear colorful sweaters and blue jeans like everyone else, but only because I wear silk underwear under all colored or itchy clothing. It’s the Fall that is the most troublesome for me. 1. t’s such a great site. cool, acutely interesting!!!

  2. I can relate to that. Try to wear organic cotton clothes. They don’t contain any chemicals such as formaldehyde, resins, or dyes that can cause skin allergies or contact dermatitis. Check out http://www.cottonique.com They have great organic clothing products.

    • Hi,
I also love http://www.cottonique.com , they are my go-to place for summer clothes. This textile allergy I have does save me money on clothes, I can’t just go out and buy any new thing I see. By the time I wash clothes 3 or 4 times before wearing, I just as well buy them in a resale shop. Forget about dry cleaning, I’m allergic to that also.
