  2. I cannot tell you how HAPPY I am to find this site. I was recently diagnosed with a disperse blue 106 allergy. After 10 months of doctors visits, elimination diets, and steroids I know what is causing my ITCHY rash. As happy as I was to find the cause, it’s been tough trying to figure out what I can wear and what I cannot. I am now using a topical steroid, two-weeks on and two-weeks off, but I am very concerned about what damage it may be doing to my skin over the long run. I will definitely buy the silk underwear now that winter in New England is approaching! Again, thank you so much for making this information available, I’ll check back often.

    • Thank you for letting me know that I helped you in some small way. Please be careful of using topical steroids for too long. I used them for three years and permanently damaged my skin. Luckily, my doctor advised me not to use topical steroids on my face or neck. I now have crepey, thin skin in all the places I used the steroids. It is very obvious it is from the steroids, because the areas aren’t where there would normally be sun damage.

I am very careful with what touches my skin now and don’t get the painful, itchy rashes very often, but the damage from the steroid cream is permanent.
